Ashington's Annual Faye Day will take place on Sunday 30 June this year.

The Faye, as in recent years, will take place at the rear of Wansbeck Square on the car park and grassed area.

The Fayre will include fairground rides, live music from top local bands, market stalls and a range of family entertainment including cartoon characters, kids face painting and magic show.

A number of community groups, who operate in the town, will also be providing information on their activities and Ashington Womens Institute will be serving afternoon tea and refreshments throughout the day.

Northumbria Fire & Rescue and Northumbria Police vehicles will be in attendance and there will be opportunity to go mountaineering on a climbing wall!  Ashington Cricket Club's popular Real Ale & Cider Festival will also run alongside the Faye on the day.

The Fayre will run from 10.30am till 4.30pm. Parking will be available under Wansbeck Square as well as nearby on John Street.

The Faye is brought together by a dedicated working group of local community organisations and volunteers working alongside Ashington Town Council including Bad Apples North East, YMCA Northumberland, Ashington Cricket Club, Ashington Womens Institute and Northumberland County Council.

Keep an eye on the Town Council’s website in the run up to the event!
