Ashington will be rocking on Northumberland Day this year when top local bands will be performing at the White House Unique Social Club.

The event, on Sunday 28 May, will feature local bands; Hair of the Derg, The Hookahs, HED, Dead Hand, King Size Voodoo Traveller and Ma Kelly's Boys.

The music starts from 1pm at the Club, which is based on High Market in the town (NE63 8PD), and will run till late. The event has been organised by local man Mr John Emery and tickets are available by contacting John both at local gigs and via his Facebook page.

The event is part of Ashington's 150th celebrations this year and has been organised with support from Ashington Town Council and Ashington Town Team.
