Ashington’s Remembrance Day Service will take place on Sunday 14 November in the Ashington Memorial Garden, on Kenilworth Road.

The service will commence at 10.50am and will be led by the Reverend Chris Groocock, supported by the Reverend Davey Falcus. Please note that there will be no formal parade this year.

Attendance at the Service has significantly increased in recent years and further information will be provided in relation to Covid-19 guidance nearer the time.

The Poppy Appeal in Ashington will be launched at the end of October and again more information will be made available nearer the time.

Ashington Town Council works closely with the Ashington Branch of the Royal British Legion and Ashington Churches Together in organising the town’s Remembrance Day Service.

Any individual or organisation wishing to purchase a poppy wreath can do so via Al's Superstore (40 Station Road, Ashington, NE63 9UJ) prior to Remembrance Day.

A Remembrance Day Service will also take place at St. Andrew’s Church in Bothal Village, at 3.00pm, led by the Reverend John Park.
