Nursery Park Allotment Site
Ashington Town Council has statutory responsibility for allotment provision within the town.
The Town Council currently has responsibility for eight sites with seven of these sites being managed on a day to day basis through a range of agreements with Allotment Associations. Ashington Town Council is working with the Associations in improving the quality of allotment provision in the town. The Town Council additionally manages a small allotment site which is situated at Nursery Park.
The Allotment Associations have responsibility for waiting lists and allocation of tenancies and would also be able to advise on rent levels, site rules and regulations. Please note that waiting lists for some sites may be long; if you are keen to have an allotment in the town you may wish to contact a number of sites and not necessarily restrict your application to the site nearest your home address. Priority and preference for allotment gardens is always given to Ashington residents.
