Woodhorn Museum, in Ashington, is now open.
The Museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday, 10.00am till 4.00pm, and advise that there will be no need to book before a visit. The Museum also advise that the visitor experience will feel a bit different from normal and have provided information (link below) on what to expect and how visitors can help to keep everyone safe.
The current exhibitions include the Ashington Group Gallery (also known as the Pitmen Painters with the world-famous paintings of what life was like for mining communities), The Quest of Missing Questions and Sharing Northumberland Stories.
The Museum has been awarded the ‘We’re Good to Go’ standard which is the official UK mark to signal that a tourism and hospitality business has worked hard to follow Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines. Friendly staff will be on hand to help with any queries and staff have all gone through additional COVID-secure training.
