Age UK Launches new groups in Ashington
Age UK Northumberland has launched three FREE new groups to help people move whilst having fun and socialising, with the support of grant funding from RISE.
The first of the groups is a Youth Club Disco, which will take place every Monday between 1.30pm and 2.30pm, the aim of the group is for people to come along, tell us their favourite songs to dance to and have a great time, whether dancing from your chair or twirling around the room.
The second of the groups is a games group, suitable for all levels of mobility. Take part in bowling, tennis, sword fighting and lots more from the comfort of your seat, and if you’re not feeling too confident about taking the controller, just join us for the craic.
Last but not least, get that Friday feeling with a gentle walk and a chat with friends in the outdoors. No-one gets left behind, we’ll definitely be doing more talking than walking!
