Ashington Town Council Opens Small Grant Fund Applications for 2026/27
Ashington Town Council is pleased to announce that applications are now open for Round One of its Small Grant Fund for 2026/27.
The fund opens on Wednesday 6 May 2026, offering awards of up to £500 to voluntary groups and community organisations across Ashington.
About the Small Grant Fund
The Small Grant Fund is designed to provide quick-access financial support for smaller, grassroots projects that make a real and lasting difference to the lives of local people. Whether it's a community event, a new volunteer initiative, or a project that supports local wellbeing, this fund exists to help good ideas get off the ground.
With four funding rounds per year, the scheme is structured to offer flexibility and responsiveness throughout the year — ensuring that community groups can access support when they need it most. The fund is particularly well suited to initiatives that are volunteer-led and low-cost but high-impact.
