Ashington Town Council Civic Head Joins Full Circle Food Project for Annual BBQ
Ashington's Civic Head, Cllr Caroline Ball, joined Full Circle Food Project for their annual BBQ, meeting volunteers and visitors as the community group marked another year of bringing people together over good food.
Guests enjoyed burgers, sausages and salads in a beautiful outdoor setting, with family games adding to the day's festival atmosphere. The event brought together people of all ages, from the Monday volunteers who keep the project running week to week, to members of the Friday Men's Pie Club, all sharing in the celebrations.
Speaking after her visit, Cllr Ball said: "It was awesome to meet everyone, from the Monday volunteers to the Friday Men's Pie Club. So many great things for all ages to get involved in. The place was a hive of positivity and what community is all about. Fab to hear how successful the packed lunches were."
Full Circle Food Project continues to play a vital role in the community, with initiatives such as its packed lunches scheme helping to support local families, particularly during the school summer holidays.
