The Great British Spring Clean Campaign is back in Ashington

Ashington Town Council are seeking volunteers, to take part in this years Great British Spring Clean 2023 Campaign.

The Great British Spring Clean Campaign for 2023, organised by Keep Britain Tidy, is taking place from the 17th March - 2nd April.

The campaign encourages volunteers, community groups and businesses to help improve the environment through targeting litter and particularly plastic waste.

As in previous years Ashington Town Council has organised a number of litter picks across the town, in partnership with Northumberland County Council.

To support the 2023 campaign you can register for one of the following litter picks;

Peoples Park - Wednesday 22 March, from 10am - to meet at the main car park, Institute Road, Ashington, NE63 8HP

Wansbeck Riverside - Thursday 23 March, from 10am - to meet at The Riverside Pantry, Wansbeck Riverside Caravan Park

North Seaton Colliery - Thursday 23 March, from 2pm - to meet at North Seaton Colliery Community Centre, Links View, NE63 0XQ 

Paddock Wood - Friday 24 March, from 10am - to meet at North Seaton Community Centre, Manley View, Ashington, NE63 9TF

Hirst Park - Saturday 25 March, from 10am - to meet at Hirst Park entrance off Hawthorn Road, Fourth Avenue
