Council-funded initiative returns for summer holidays to promote health and activity
Ashington Town Council is delighted to announce the return of its popular free swim sessions for children and young people during the summer holidays. The initiative, which has proven hugely popular with local families, will offer free swimming sessions at Ashington Leisure Centre from Wednesday 22nd July to Saturday 29th August.
Young people from across Ashington are helping shape this year’s Fair Day celebrations as part of a fresh new approach to one of the town’s most cherished community events.
Organised by YMCA Northumberland, this year’s event will place young people at the centre of the celebrations, giving them the opportunity to influence activities, contribute ideas, and play an active role in bringing the day to life.
