A Great Day had by all at Hirst Welfare Family Fun Day
The event was a huge success with approximately 400 people attending the fun packed day. The weather was not too bad with only a few showers throughout the day.
I have been working on behalf of Ashington Town Council with Get Onside Northumberland and many other organisations to plan the Family Fun Day event.
I was there on the day with 'Guess the Teddy Bears Name', information on upcoming Town Council Events and our now well used selfie frame! I was also supported on the day from Town Councillors, and the Council’s Civic Head, Cllr Victor Bridges.
As well as having our own ‘Guess the Name of the Teddy’ stall, the Council contributed £3,000 to support outdoor activities, which included a 42ft assault course, axe throwing, football darts, and space hopper football.
The Council is grateful to have been asked to be part of the event, alongside so many other valuable and committed community groups, as pictured.
