ASHINGTON TOWN COUNCIL - RESULT OF POLL - HAYDON WARD

It has been declared by the Deputy Returning Officer for Northumberland County Council, that Graeme John Wright was duly elected to the post of Councillor for the Haydon Ward of Ashington Town Council, following an election that took place on 12th October 2023.

Elaine Peverley - Independent Candidate - 157

Graeme John Wright - Labour Candidate - 347 (Elected)

Natalie Younes - Liberal Democrats Candidate - 131

Thank you to those who stood and to those who voted. Whether your preferred candidate won or lost, you should feel good about doing your civic duty. By voting, you helped shape the future of our town.

All candidates should feel proud that they stepped up for their community, and gave voters a voice in the democratic process; it is courageous and shows commitment to the town.

Graeme will sign his official 'Declaration of Acceptance of Office' on Monday, and the Council look forward to welcoming him to his first meeting after that.
