A Heartfelt Thanks to Our Christmas Trail Participants

A big thank you goes out to all you children and families who participated in collecting trail stickers from our local shops. We hope you had as much fun discovering decorated businesses and finishing your sticker cards as we did watching your spirit spread cheer across town.

To all the young ones who brought finished Christmas Trail cards to Ashington Library on December 16th to claim your well-deserved prizes - you did a fantastic job completing your Christmas mission! Congratulations to you all. The Christmas Trail simply would not have been possible without all the children exploring our community and filling it with joy this festive season.

We want to extend a sincere thank you to all the local businesses along Station Road, Lintonville Terrace, Laburnum Terrace, and Woodhorn Road who enthusiastically participated this year to make it a festive adventure for local children.

The Civic Head, Cllr Vicitor Bridges was at Ashington Library on Saturday 16th December to give out certificates and selection boxes to all the children who took part in the trail and comments; “I want to congratulate all the young ones who explored Ashington to finish their Christmas Trail sticker cards. Thank you for helping to keep the festive spirit alive across our town. Happy Christmas to you and your families!”

To The Sewing Machine Guy, Scope, L A Clothing, CEX, The Card Factory, Timewarp Sounds Record Shop, Salvation Army Shop, Sense Shop, The Little Tea Room, Sweet Memories Sweet Shop, Hog Roast Deli, Tony Joshua Couture, Bettini’s, British Heart Foundation Shop, Mind, Body & Spirit, Herons, M & H Bakes, Select, Glentons, Iceland and Asda, thank you for taking the time to spread joy this season among our town's little ones. Your efforts brought many smiles to children's faces which is the greatest gift of all. We hope the Christmas Trail brought some merry foot traffic through your doors as well! We are so grateful to have such community-oriented businesses representing the heart of Ashington.

We would also like to say a special thank you to Lynn and Kath at Ashington Library for providing a very festive pick-up point for children to collect their prizes. The library offers a whole host of children's activities from Lego Club's to Story Time.

From Ashington Town Council Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours. May your new year be filled with health and happiness.
