The Home of Champions V The Worlds First
This Saturday (27th January) we take on Sheffield Football Club at Woodhorn Lane. It's a matchup between Ashington "the home of champions" and the world's first football club. It is a matchup between two clubs who have had a huge impact on the beautiful game both in our own country and abroad. The game will be only the second time we've ever met having lost in Sheffield earlier this season.
We need the people of Ashington and the surrounding areas to come out and back the lads and we're after at least 1,000 people packing out Woodhorn Lane. We would be extremely grateful of anything you can do to share details of the contest from the Town Council.
After the match we have some live music as we welcome the fabulous Rula along to the Lane and we will be showing Newcastle United’s trip to Fulham at 7pm.
