The Civic Head, Councillor Victor Bridges recently attended a performance by Mortals Fools youth theatre, Through The Wardrobe. The Fools Fest included two evenings showcasing our Ashington, Tyne Valley, Highfield Middle School & online youth theatre groups creative work.

Mortal Fools supports young people make sense of the world, gain confidence, find their voice, understand their learning preferences and how to support others, gain communication skills, enhances their employability, cultivates wellbeing and of course, is an opportunity to be creative!

The Civic Head comments; ” I wish to thank Mortal Fools for Inviting Me to Fools Fest and extend my appreciation to Mortal Fools theatre company for welcoming me to attend performances of “Through The Wardrobe” as part of their recent Fools Fest. Getting to see firsthand the creative work and dedication of Ashington, Tyne Valley, Highfield Middle School, and online youth theatre groups was incredibly inspiring.

Mortal Fools’ youth theatre program provides a valuable opportunity for self-expression and personal growth through the arts. Performing and creating helps young people make sense of the world, find their voice, and enhance their wellbeing. By supporting Mortal Fools, our community is helping make these types of enriching creative experiences possible for local youth.

I encourage all who can to consider getting involved with Mortal Fools Theatre, whether as an audience member, donor, sponsor, or volunteer. The arts and creative outlets are so important for our next generation”.
