The Council’s investment in Asset Watch’s advanced CCTV service is proving instrumental in supporting law enforcement and protecting residents across the town centre and play areas. Community Consultation Begins for Ashington Community Woods Enhancement Project

Following our announcement earlier in the year about the Ashington Community Woods Project Development Phase, we are pleased to confirm that the community consultation process is now underway. Groundwork North East & Cumbria will be present in Ashington Community Woods on Monday 30th June 2025, from 10am until 2pm to begin the vital work of gathering community input for this exciting enhancement project.
This initial consultation represents the first phase of the comprehensive community engagement process that will shape the future development of our cherished woodland space. We strongly encourage anyone who regularly uses the woods, along with all residents who have an interest in this valuable community asset, to come along and speak with Becky and James from Groundwork NE & Cumbria during their visit.
