Popular Ashington Gardens Competition to take place again this year

Business Chair of the Town Council, Cllr. Mark Purvis said ‘Following the success of the Ashington Gardens Competition in recent years Ashington Town Council is pleased to announce it will go ahead again this year in its traditional format, following the Covid 19 Pandemic.  The Competition has proved popular with residents of Ashington and helps to celebrate and recognise the excellent gardening work undertaken in our town’.

There are four categories for entries, Large Garden; Small Garden; Allotment Garden; Schools & Business.

Wansbeck Garden Centre & Café, based on North Seaton Industrial Estate, is again supporting the Competition. 

The 2022 Competition is now launched with all entries to be submitted to the Town Council by the closing date of Friday 1st July 2022. Judging will take place week beginning Monday 18th July 2022 and a special ‘Awards Evening’ will be held in September, when the winners will be announced and presented with their trophies and prizes.

Application forms can be downloaded below, and paper copies are also available from the Wansbeck Garden Centre & Café and Al’s Superstore.  Alternatively, you can ring 01670 624 520 to have a paper copy of the entry form posted out to you.
