Work to Commence on Alexandra Road Play Area
Earlier in the year as part of the capital schemes agreed by Ashington Town Council, the redevelopment of the Alexandra Road Play Area was top of the list.
Ashington Town Council is responsible for ten play areas in the town, and of those transferred to the Council, it was agreed that Alexandra Road would benefit from regeneration.
Hirst Ward Cllrs have worked with Assets and Facilities Manager, Stephen Humphrey to select a play provider, and to agree a brief for the play space that meets the needs of those living near-by.
The park will be closed from Monday 15th August to allow for the extensive renovation of the play area.
