Record High Temperatures for the Pride Picnic in Hirst Park

It was a hot! hot! day for the Pride Picnic on Saturday 9th September.

Lots of fun and games for all the family, with approximately 220 adults and children attending the first ever Pride Picnic in Ashington's Hirst Park.

Ashington Town Council would like to thank, Koast Radio, Pride Action North, Northumberland Wildlife Trust, Curious Arts, Control and Move Fitness CIC, Mortal Fools and UNISON NCNTW Health Branch for attending on the day.  Children and adults alike got to try out some creative crafts including stone painting, flag making, colouring and even a mini bug hunt.

Also, a big thank you to Sarah and Carla for helping organise the event and the team at Full Circle Food for providing the lovely cakes. And last but not least the stunning Rita Moff for chatting to everyone on the day.
