Ashington Community Comes Together for Children In Need

This Friday, November 17th is BBC Children In Need day, and Ashington is set to show its community spirit at a special fundraising event in the Carpark Asda Ashington, organised by Amanda Sheldon, Asda's Community Champion.

Local schools and youth groups will be participating in a 12-hour dance-a-thon to raise money for the worthy cause. Residents are encouraged to stop by throughout the day and evening to cheer on the dancers and donate to Children In Need.

Ashington Town Council will also be on hand with games like guess the teddy's name and how many sweet are in the jar, from 12 noon to 3pm, along with other community groups with fun activities for a good cause.

The lovable Pudsey Bear mascot will be making appearances throughout the event, so keep your eyes peeled for photo opportunities!

Ashington has always stepped up to aid charitable causes that make a difference. This Friday, head down to the Carpark Asda anytime from 9am to 9pm to enjoy the festivities, support the dancers, and show your community pride. Let's have fun while changing lives!
