Announcing the return of Creative Mondays in 2024. This engaging programme offers participants a safe and nurturing environment to develop their artistic talents and build confidence under the guidance of experienced youth workers.
Creative Mondays is all about fostering creativity through hands-on activities that cater to diverse interests and skill levels. Whether you're a budding painter, photographer, performer, writer, or maker, our friendly team will support you every step of the way as you explore your artistic passions.
This unique program combines the expertise of Mortal Fools and YMCA Northumberland, creating a dynamic space where young people can connect, grow, and thrive. We believe that creativity is a powerful tool for self-expression, personal growth, and community building.
Creative Mondays is a relaxed group for young people aged 13-19 to learn creative skills in a supportive, welcoming environment! Participants will try out a range of art, drama and craft activities and we welcome suggestions from the group. These sessions take place on Mondays between 5:30-7:30pm at YMCA Northumberland youth lounge- they are completely free and open to anyone. If you're willing to try new things and interested in finding fun ways to express yourself, we want you!
In these sessions you can build your confidence, develop new skills, have fun, and show your creative spark with different creative activities each week including drawing, badge making, printing, tie dye, zine making, drama games and much more! We will be working with professional guest artists and Mortal Fools practitioners alongside our friendly youth work team who are always there for a chat.
