Join the Adventure at Reiverdale Scout Group
Located in the heart of town near the sports centre and Main Street, Reiverdale Scout Group offers fun and enrichment for Ashington young people ages 4-14. With programs running Monday through Thursday evenings, Reiverdale welcomes new members to join their lively community of Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts.
Reiverdale’s Squirrel section provides an active start for 4-5 year olds, teaching teamwork through games, stories, and challenges. Beavers fosters a sense of adventure and good citizenship for 6-8 year olds through creative projects, trips, and earning badges. For 8-10 year olds, the Cub section gets kids outdoors to develop skills, confidence, and environmental awareness. Finally, the Scout section for 10-14 year olds enables older youth to plan their own activities to grow leadership abilities.
Throughout their Reiverdale experience, members form great friendships and make memories to last a lifetime. From campouts to community service initiatives, there is never a dull moment in this tight-knit group!
Parents and other adults also play an integral role in organising events and guiding each section. No prior scouting experience is necessary - just a desire to positively impact children’s lives. Open adult positions are available with flexible time commitments.
