Ashington Town Council Supports The Evergreens Over 60s Club Grant for New Bingo Machine
Civic Head, Councillor Caroline Ball, has proudly presented a grant cheque to the Evergreens Over 60s Club, a longstanding community group dedicated to enriching the lives of Ashington's senior residents.
The small grant was allocated for the purchase of a new bingo machine, a central feature of the club's social gatherings and replacing the old broken one.
The Evergreens Over 60s Club has been instrumental in providing a welcoming environment where members can engage in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
Bingo sessions, in particular, have been a highlight, fostering camaraderie and enjoyment among participants. The previous bingo machine's breakdown had left a void in their weekly gatherings, making this grant timely and significant.
