TENDER OPPORTUNITY - NORTH SEATON COLLIERY PLAY AREA

Ashington Town Council is seeking qualified and experienced play area developers to design and install a new play area at North Seaton Colliery. We're looking for innovative suppliers who can work with our community to create an exceptional play space that benefits local residents for years to come.

Project Overview

We aim to develop a new play area that delivers:

An accessible play space for children of all abilities
Sustainable design and environmentally-friendly materials
Equipment that encourages imaginative and physical play
A space that reflects the needs and desires of the local community
A facility that enhances the local environment

Selection Process

This procurement follows a two-stage process:

Stage 1: Submission evaluation and shortlisting
Stage 2: Presentations from shortlisted suppliers

Following the selection of a supplier, the appointed contractor will lead community engagement activities and develop detailed designs and costings in partnership with the Council.

Technical capability and innovative product solutions (25%)
Previous experience with similar community projects (25%)
Ethics and environmental responsibility (30%)
Quality of presentation and responses (20%)
