LOVE Northumberland Awards 2025 - Now Open for Applications
Celebrate Environmental Excellence in Northumberland
Applications are now open for the 14th annual LOVE Northumberland Awards – the prestigious celebration honoring outstanding community environmental work across the county.
This year's awards ceremony will take place at a special event hosted by the Duchess of Northumberland at The Alnwick Garden on Thursday, July 10, 2025.
Who Can Apply?
Community groups, schools, and individuals are invited to submit applications for projects and initiatives that have improved local areas or neighborhoods throughout Northumberland.
Award Categories
Entries are now being accepted in six categories:
- Best Children's Project
- Best Young People's Project
- Best Urban Project
- Best Coast or Countryside Project
- Outstanding Individual
- Best Community Response to the Climate Change Emergency
Past Winners
Previous winning projects have included:
- Community litter picking initiatives
- Habitat improvement projects supporting nature recovery and biodiversity
- School transportation programs reducing car dependency and increasing walking, cycling, and scooting
Recognition for Environmental Champions
The LOVE Northumberland Awards provide an opportunity for the County Council to recognise the outstanding contributions of numerous groups and individuals dedicated to making Northumberland greener, cleaner, and more sustainable.
