Contract Opportunity to provide CCTV for Station Road, Ashington is now open.

Ashington Town Council require a supplier to provide upgraded CCTV cameras and transmission equipment, to supply and install new equipment, and to provide monitoring.

Hundreds turned out for Ashington Community Fair Day yesterday (Sunday 2nd July) at Peoples Park.

Well Fair Day is almost here, Sunday 2nd July, 11am to 5pm at Peoples Park.

The Civic Head had the great task of presenting several community groups and organisation last week with cheques.

The Civic Head, Cllr Victor Bridges was delighted to be presenting a cheque to Ashington Sea Cadets for £500.

A regeneration programme worth almost £30m is set to revitalise Ashington town centre. 

Ashington’s Rainbow, Brownies Guides and leaders have done their bit to tidy the town.

Ashington Town Council has received and approved the Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) (2022/23), and this will now be submitted to the external auditor. The unaudited AGAR has been published on the Council’s website, under the AGAR section of the Finance pages.

Any person interested has the right to inspect and make copies of the accounting records for the financial year to which the audit relates.  The Notice of Public Rights and Publication of Unaudited Annual Governance and Accountability Return sets out these rights and how to exercise them.

In the week that followed Volunteers Week, Ashington Town Council continued to live up to their reputation as a ‘very generous council’. Pots of funding were agreed in the form of grants, climate focused support, and event and engagement assistance.
