The summer holidays are almost over and we look forward to welcoming you to our first meeting back.
The Finance and General Services Committee Meeting (FGS) will be held on Tuesday 12th September, commencing at 6:15pm, in the Council Chamber.
We will also welcome Sarah Brannigan from the NCC Neighbourhood Planning Team, at 5:30pm, to make a presentation and answer questions on Neighbourhood Planning.

Voter ID needed to vote in any UK Election

Residents of the Haydon Ward may be asked to vote in a by-election, as a result of the Casual Vacancy declared on 20th July 2023.
Northumberland County Council Elections Office has received ten signatures requesting a poll. If there are more than two people nominated there will be a by-election on Thursday 12th October 2023. Please be aware that this is not the official notice of the election, which will not be posted until 7th September, after which time, nominations will be requested. However, in view that this will be the first election in Ashington under the new law that photo ID is required to vote at a polling station, it is worth making everyone aware at the earliest opportunity.
