Walk to School Week starts today!

A Coffee Morning in support of Christian Aid will be held in the Church Hall on Saturday, 21st. May from 10.00 a.m. until 11.30 a.m.

After two years of ‘Virtual Miners’ Picnics’ during the pandemic, we are delighted to announce that the Northumberland Miners’ Picnic is returning to Woodhorn Museum on Saturday 11th June 2022.

Carers Week is an annual awareness campaign that celebrates and recognises the vital contribution of the UK’s unpaid carers – supporting family members and friends who are older, have a disability, mental or physical illness or need extra help as they grow older.

Council funding is now available to help community groups take action on climate change.  

Two weeks next Saturday to our Annual Concert and we’re hoping to perform to a big audience just as we did for the Christmas Concert.  Tickets have been going reasonably well  but Holy Sepulchre is a big church so there is still time to get your tickets or order them for collection at the door.

A primary school in Ashington has partnered with conservation experts from a local diving centre to help clean up one of South East Northumberland’s most popular beaches in the aftermath of the school holidays.

Ashington Town Council will hold the final meeting of the Council year on Tuesday 10th May commencing at 6:00pm in the Council Chamber.  The meeting is open to the press and public to attend.
